Maybe they got the message that there really are people suffering because of homelessness and that we are not all worthless sponges on the system. Yes. Some of us work and have integrity, and when we work we try to follow the golden rule… But, I digress. I particularly agree with Opening Doors aim to…
“…transforming homeless services to crisis response systems that prevent homelessness and rapidly return people who experience homelessness to stable housing.”
That way, no one is invested in the revolving door mentality, where homeless people are in and out of shelters on a continuous basis and eventually get fed-up and become chronic street people.
